Position Summary for Essential Functions
Overall purpose of the position: In this role the employee will be responsible for maintaining the process for data entry at the Fullerton sites for timesheets of Individuals served and for their payroll. This employee needs knowledge of accounting principles and data entry, administrative and clerical skills in order to successfully maintain accounts.
Education: High school diploma required. Associate’s Degree in accounting preferred. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
Experience: At least a minimum of one year data entry experience. Experience with Excel required and experience with Traverse preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
80% Payroll Data Management: Collect individuals timesheets in a timely fashion and review individuals’ time and attendance and leave forms for accuracy. Initiate reconciliation of errors with appropriate employee or supervisor. Coordinate bi-weekly review of attendance for payroll processing and monthly review for attendance review in conjunction with PT Medicaid Specialist. Assign purchase order numbers and enter related data into Traverse system. Perform the actual purchasing function.
10% Accounting Support: Follow up with departments for information needed. Perform accurate data entry, management and research related to the full range of agency accounting and fiscal systems.
10% Customer Service: Answer payroll-related questions and/or routing questions to correct destination. Answer employee or individual related payroll or attendance questions as they arise. Assist in Handling individuals’ change forms and entering new individuals into system.
